About this role
A cloud infrastructure engineer who architects and manages the cloud environment your product runs on. Not someone who spins up instances and walks away, but a dedicated engineer who designs for reliability, security, and cost efficiency from day one.
Your embedded cloud engineer designs and implements cloud architecture, manages infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation), optimises cloud costs and resource utilisation, implements security best practices and access controls, and manages networking, load balancing, and DNS.
Typical Profile
4-7 years of experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure
Deep expertise with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Strong Infrastructure as Code skills (Terraform is strongly preferred)
Experience with networking, security groups, VPCs, and IAM
Understanding of cost optimisation strategies
Experience with monitoring and alerting (CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus)
Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Architect) are a plus
