About this role

A security engineer who protects your systems before something goes wrong. Conducts security assessments, implements controls, monitors for threats, and builds a security-aware culture across your engineering team.

Your embedded security engineer conducts security assessments and code reviews, implements and manages security tools (SIEM, vulnerability scanners, WAFs), designs and enforces access control policies, monitors for threats and investigates security incidents, supports compliance requirements (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR technical controls), and trains your development team on secure coding practices.

Typical Profile

4-7 years of experience in security engineering, application security, or infrastructure security
Understanding of common vulnerabilities and attack vectors (OWASP Top 10)
Experience with security tools (Snyk, SonarQube, Burp Suite, Nessus)
Knowledge of cloud security best practices (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Understanding of compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR)
Scripting skills (Python, Bash) for automation
Security certifications (CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+) are a plus
